History:
The iconic Venchi story began back in 1878 when Silviano Venchi, a young 20-year-old man, spent all his savings on two bronze cauldrons and started experimenting with chocolate in a small shop on via degli Artisti in the neighbourhood of Vanchiglia, Turin.
These experiments were so successful that after a few years the Nougatine, a sweet containing chopped and caramelised hazelnuts coated in extra-dark chocolate (why not re-read this story while sampling one?) and Venchi SpA, “the most elegant chocolate shop in Piedmont” and “Purveyor to the Royal Household” were born.
